cercademi was born out of a small frustration: you Google '24h pharmacy near me' and get an ad, a closed listing, a map that doesn't centre on you and five reviews from three years ago. We wanted a directory that answers the question in under five seconds — no signup, no opaque tracking, no pay-to-appear.
What cercademi is
A free, no-signup directory of businesses, services and useful places across Spain: pharmacies, gas stations, restaurants, supermarkets, ATMs, workshops, schools and thousands of categories more. Built on open data, improved with manual checks where needed. Mobile-first, because that's where people ask 'near me'.
What cercademi is not
We're not an editorial guide with professional reviews. We don't sell rankings — no business can pay to appear higher. We're not an official service and we're not affiliated with any government body. If you read something here, treat it as informational: for emergencies always call the official phone.
Where the data comes from
The base is OpenStreetMap (open data, maintained by thousands of contributors in Spain) plus public-sector sources where they exist. When a business claims its listing via /negocios, the verified data takes priority over the original. We refresh when upstream updates land; technical details live at /datos.
How we decide what to build
Users first
No button on cercademi exists to make money at the user's expense. No popups, no required login, no data resale. If a decision makes the product worse for the visitor, we don't ship it.
Honest transparency
Every listing shows where the info came from and when it was last refreshed. If we don't know something, we say so instead of making it up.
Privacy by design
Your location is used only to sort results and discarded immediately. What you save lives in your browser, not in a database with your name on it. No ad profiles.
Open data when possible
We prefer building on open data and crediting the source (OpenStreetMap and others) clearly. If the upstream data is wrong, we invite you to fix it at source — it benefits the whole ecosystem.
Speed over decoration
No heavy scripts, no welcome cookie wall, minimal hydration. The page should land before the instinct to close it kicks in.
Useful for small businesses
Being listed here is free. If you run a listed business, you can claim its page and edit hours and photos — no cost, no hidden upsell.
Who's behind this
cercademi is a project by Dockia Labs, an independent studio based in Spain. We build it in the open, keep it small, and fund it with non-intrusive ads (Google AdSense) and — eventually — optional premium verifications for businesses, never by charging for inclusion in the free directory.
Editorial standards
When we add descriptions, FAQs or category copy, it's to answer the user's question better — not to stuff keywords. We review what we publish before it ships and fix quickly when someone flags an error. Spot something off? Email hello@dockialabs.com.
